Carnegie Robotics was founded with the intent of manufacturing product. As our in house manufacturing developed into an industry benchmark, we now offer these services as a standalone option. Small businesses to large, we want to partner with companies that have designs they would like built in America.

People

People vs process is a common debate in manufacturing, both being critical in achieving excellence. Our belief is that if both can be great, then achieving the impossible becomes second nature. Great people create great processes.

We have assembled a diverse team with a wealth of experience and expertise in various industries that have now teamed together with a common goal of passion for manufacturing hardware, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Leadership of tomorrow are currently interns and apprentices. Investment in our own people to develop and grow through continual learning, training (IPC, ASQ, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing), and mentorship results in a team with similar goals, but differing approaches that pushes us to higher heights through competitive debate.

Process

Systems allow for a paperless approach, where all movement is tracked in an effort to reduce as much non-value added time as possible. Visual Factory from NoMuda as our MES allows for process control, traceability, and data collection.

Advanced tooling allows for efficiency gains, process and quality control. In house developed automated optical inspection equipment creates a poka-yoke assembly process. Kolver torque wrenches allow for precision application and data collection of every torque applied to every fastener. Automated wire processing equipment allows for rapid development of custom harnessing with integrated test equipment that verifies 100% of connections.

Utilizing standard lean manufacturing practices we have created a system that is efficient and robust. Value Stream Mapping processes allows for Kaizen events to be executed using Plan, Do, Check, Act to reduce the Seven Deadly Wastes. Having the right people strategically located as close to the Gemba (shop floor) creates a learning environment that strives for Root Cause Analysis on all identified issues. Practicing Just In Time assembly in conjunction with a Kanban creates Heijunka (level scheduling) that creates cost effective, on time deliveries for our customers.

Custom Cable Harness

Frustrated by the industry standard lead time of months for custom cable harnesses, we have invested in ourselves to transform complex designs from imagination to reality in days. Utilizing state-of-the-art automated cable testers to quickly and accurately test continuity for every crimp in every wire of every harness. Automated wire processing equipment to measure, cut, and strip wire with precision. Our cable harness boards allow for the easy manufacturing of complex cable harnesses. IPC trained technicians assemble to the required routing requirements, test the harness directly on the board using the automatic testers, and utilize an automatic zip tie gun for quick and effective bundling. This streamlined process ensures high-quality, reliable cable assemblies that meet the most demanding specifications.

Smart Torque Drivers

Kolver smart torque drivers ensure every screw is tightened to exact specifications. They provide real-time feedback and detect issues immediately, preventing assembly errors and enhancing product reliability. This precision translates into consistent, high-quality outcomes for your projects.

Fleet Management
